Are You Going To Tell Anyone About My Visit?
All of our services are completely confidential and HIPAA compliant. Our clinic is designed to protect our patient’s right to privacy. As a free and charitable clinic, all of Dove Medical’s services are free of charge, so we will not bill your insurance for any of the care that you receive.
Under Oregon law, anyone under the age of 18 is considered a minor. Health information of minors is also protected under HIPAA law, meaning your information will not be shared with anyone without your consent, except in the case of reporting significant health and safety concerns or certain communicable diseases to local authorities. If you are a minor, we encourage you to speak with a trusted adult in order to receive proper support in the decision-making process.
How Do I Get To Dove Medical?
We are centrally located on the EmX bus line 3 blocks from the University of Oregon, and we have free parking behind our building for those coming by car.
How Long Will My Appointment Take?
Our appointments typically run 45-60 minutes. However, if you are stopping by in between classes or on your lunch break, we are happy to accommodate your schedule. Our appointments are patient-led, so you are in control. Walk-ins are welcome.
Can I bring a friend with me to my appointment?
You are welcome to bring along one support person with you to your appointment. A brief portion of the medical intake may require that your support person wait in the reception area, but they are otherwise welcome to join you as you desire.
